Another Holiday Season, Another Successful Craft Fair
December 24, 2008
Easthampton - Shoppers browsed, and chatted, and purchased at the Winter Festival in Easthampton. It was a good weekend, organizers said, for an arts and crafts fair held for the fourth(sixth) year at the Eastworks building on Ferry Street (Pleasant Street)Dec. 13 and 14.
In addition to booths staffed by local artists, some non-profits set up shop for the fair as well.
Marie Lisewski, whose business Laurel Mountain Gift Baskets had a booth at the festival(has a shop at Eastworks open year round), said the event was a success with 20 (26) vendors who reported a brisk business.
"We were very pleased with the people" said Lisewski, who helped organize the fair. "We were very successful. All our vendors were pleased with their sales."
Lisewski and Nita Brown, who owns another Eastworks business, Country Accents by NIB (NJB) has organized the event every year, drawing from local craftspeople and non-profits to showcase their goods.
