Pete's Clam Shack Gift Basket
Pete was a real old time New Englander. Quiet and hard working. He loved to work in his garden and he loved to work with wood. All winter long Pete would make whirligig ducks and beautiful clamming baskets to sell to the summer tourists. Pete is gone now and his son gave me his supply of hand crafted clamming baskets. I think Pete would love the idea that I created a gift basket, filled with New England style clam chowder, clambake spices, great for steamed clams or the fixings of an awesome clam dip, chocolate covered cranberry candies from Cape Cod and one of Pete's favorite treats, chocolate chip cookies.
